# Batch picking

> Combine several orders into one pick list sorted by SKU, collect everything in one walk, then scan-verify and pack each order.

Batch picking combines several orders into one pick list, so staff walk the warehouse once instead of once per order. Picking happens first, for all orders together; then each order is packed and scan-verified on its own.

## Batch size by plan

| Plan | Orders per batch |
|---|---|
| Starter | One order at a time (no batches) |
| Growth | Up to 20 |
| Pro and Enterprise | Up to 50 |

On Starter, the **To pack** list says *Tap an order to pack it. Batch picking is available on the Growth plan and up.* See [Plans, free trial and billing](https://help.fleekapps.com/rack-scanner/plans-and-billing/).

## Start a batch

1. In the mobile app, open **Orders → To pack**.
2. Tap each order you want to include, or tap **Select all** to select up to your plan’s limit.
3. Tap **Batch pick … orders**.

The batch opens at *Step 1 of 2* and appears under **Pick lists** in the app and in the Shopify app’s **Orders** page.

## Step 1: Pick

The combined list shows every product needed across the batch, sorted by SKU, with products still to pick listed first. Each line shows the quantity picked out of the quantity needed, and how many orders want it.

1. Walk the shelves and scan each product as you take it. Every scan adds one unit.
2. Lines are checked off when their quantity is complete, and the bar at the top shows units picked.
3. When everything is picked, tap **All picked — start packing**.

If a scan doesn’t belong to the batch, the app says *This product isn’t on the pick list*. If you’ve already picked enough, it says *All units of this product are already picked*.

To pick without scanning, tap **+** on a line, or tap its quantity to set it. The keyboard icon lets you type a code.

### Finish with items missing

Tap **Finish picking** to move on before everything is picked. The app shows how many units are still unpicked and asks whether to **Start packing** anyway. Orders that end up missing items can be sent back to the queue while packing.

## Step 2: Pack each order

At *Step 2 of 2*, the batch lists its orders with their packing status.

1. Tap the button for the next order, such as **Pack #1042**, or tap any order that isn’t packed yet.
2. Scan each item into that order’s box. Wrong and extra items are flagged, exactly as for a single order.
3. Tap **Mark packed**, then **Print packing slip** or **Next** to go straight to the following order.
4. Use **Skip** for an order you can’t complete. It goes back to the **To pack** queue and shows *Back in queue* in the batch.

The batch is complete when every order is packed or skipped. Packing works the same as for single orders; see [Pick and pack orders](https://help.fleekapps.com/rack-scanner/pick-and-pack/).

## Print a pick list

Prefer paper? In the Shopify app, open **Orders**, click the batch under **Pick lists** and click **Print pick list**. The printout has a checkbox, product, SKU, barcode and quantity for each item, followed by the orders in the batch with their items and shipping method.

## Cancel a batch

In the app, open the batch’s menu and choose **Cancel pick list**. In the Shopify app, open the batch and click **Cancel list**. Orders that aren’t packed go back to the queue; packed orders stay packed.

> **Note:** Only packed orders count toward your monthly order limit. Picking, skipping or canceling doesn’t use your allowance.
