# Your data, privacy and uninstalling

> What FunctionFlow AI stores, what it never stores, how checkout data stays inside Shopify, and what happens to your functions and data when you uninstall.

## What FunctionFlow stores

- **Store details** from Shopify: domain, name, contact email, currency, time zone and Shopify plan.
- **Staff details** for the people who open the app: Shopify user ID, name, email and language.
- **Access tokens** Shopify issues so the app can act for you — short-lived, stored encrypted and removed when you uninstall.
- **Your functions:** rules, versions, settings and activity.
- **AI prompts** you type into the AI generator, and the drafts generated.
- **Billing status** of your subscription as reported by Shopify. Shopify handles payment — FunctionFlow never sees card details.

## What it doesn’t store

- **Your customers’ personal details.** To measure your functions, FunctionFlow reads new orders and keeps only totals — orders influenced, revenue, discounts and shipping savings per day. It doesn’t keep customer names, emails or addresses from orders.
- **Checkout data.** Your functions run inside Shopify’s checkout as Shopify Functions. The cart and customer details they use are processed by Shopify and aren’t sent to FunctionFlow.

## AI prompts

Prompts are sent to our AI provider, OpenAI, to draft the function. Don’t include customer names, emails or other personal information in prompts.

## When you uninstall

1. **Your functions stop running** — Shopify removes the app’s discounts and customizations from your checkout.
2. **Access is revoked** — every staff access token is deleted, and any subscription ends.
3. **Your data is deleted** when Shopify sends its data-removal request for your store, typically about 48 hours after you uninstall. That removes your functions, versions, AI drafts, activity and statistics.

If you reinstall before that, your functions are still there as **drafts** — open each one and publish it again. You’ll need to choose a plan again; the free trial isn’t offered a second time.

## Your customers’ data requests

Because FunctionFlow doesn’t store customers’ personal details, customer data requests and deletion requests from Shopify have nothing to return or remove.
